The Last Post

 Hello, my fellow readers.

I started this film blog so that I can get through the pandemic one day at a time, but now that I've got my own apartment, registering to be a University student, and being a part of a program for people with Autism. I've got soo much on my plate that I've decided that this will be the last time that I am using my blog site. Of course I'll miss review my latest movies and making ranking lists, but since that I now have a Letterboxd account and a podcast where I talk about my interests, it was time to put my blogging on hold for now.

This isn't goodbye. This is see you later.

Review: Da 5 Bloods

Review: Da 5 Bloods Hello, Everybody! I'm Santiago Brion, an here's my blog post! Today I reviewed Spike Lee's latest directorial feature, Da 5 Bloods.  Spike Lee's 23rd joint, Da 5 Bloods follows four African-American Vietnam war veterans who travel to Vietnam in search of the body of their war body and to find the gold at a platoon where they once fought.  This movie was nothing short of amazing! It had heart, ambition, great performances(particularly from Delroy Lindo) and fierce energy. It had a witty script, a perfect musical score by Spike Lee's longtime collaborator composer, Terence Blanchard, beautiful cinematography and great social commentary on the Black Lives Matter movement. It was released just at the right time due to the recent BLM protests. THIS WAS PURE SPIKE LEE!! Movie Sequels that are better than the Original

 WHASSUP, EVERYBODY?! I'm currently being quarantined in my room due to the fact that I had a "slight headache" and I honestly feel fine. Really. iI'm typing this with my mask on and it's all good.
