Every Upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Movie & TV Show

Hey, Everybody! Today I'm going to talk about everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING that's coming from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Obviously rumored projects like a new X-men movie or revivals of the Marvel Netflix shows will not be included. Also, release dates are subject to change.

- Blade

I've wait for the Daywalker to make an MCU appearance and it seems that it's happening! Plot details are unknown and no director has signed on, but Academy Award Winner, Mahershala Ali is set to play hybrid vampire hunter, just please don't make it PG-13.

- Ms. Marvel

Kamala Khan will be another young superhero coming to this juggernaut of a franchise and Marvel is absolutely ready to bring diversity to the forefront. Kamala is young Pakistani teenage comic book fan played by Iman Vellani who gains elastic powers herself. This Disney+ show is created by Bisha K.Ali and some episodes will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, whose previous film was Bad Boys for Life. Only time will tell if this fresh perspective will be anything like DC superhero shows from The CW. Ms. Marvel will be released sometime in 2022.

- Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

I really thought that Ant-Man 3 wasn't going to happen, but thankfully it is! Peyton Reed is back in the director's chair while Paul Rudd and his ageless great looks and Evangeline Lilly will be back! 2 newcomers to this cast are Kathryn Newton who's replacing Emma Fuhrmann's role as Cassie, Scott Lang's daughter and Jonathan Majors, who made a breakthrough in Fall 2020 with his role in Lovecraft Country, will play the MCU's potential next big bad, Kang the Conquerer. It will also be released sometime in 2022.

- Captain Marvel 2

While 2019's Captain Marvel was a bit of a mixed-bag, it did have a lot of stellar moments, its sequel has yet to surpass its predecessor, and director Nia DaCosta is the key to do just that, seeing as how she resurrected one of the most iconic villains in horror, Candyman in the upcoming Candyman film. While there have been no plot details as of yet, but Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau(who made her debut in WandaVision) will appear. Captain Marvel 2 is set to release on November 11th, 2022.

- Hawkeye

I've dreamt for Clint Barton to get his own show and it's finally becoming a reality! Jeremy Renner will reprise the role of the iconic archer, although this time, he's retired. In this Disney+ show, Barton trains Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, to be the next Hawkeye. It's the perfect opportunity to start the next generation of MCU heroes. Oh, and Kate has an adorable golden retriever.

- Eternals

While most of the upcoming projects are either sequels or spin-offs, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will branch out all the way back to the first era of the universe itself. Eternals follows an ancient immortal alien race that's been secretly living on earth for 7,000 years and after many years of hiding and war, they come out of hiding to confront an old enemy, The Deviants. It's a pretty bold way to introduce new characters in terms of characters and representation. The cast consists of Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee,  Kit Harrington, Gemma Chan and Barry Keoghan. In addition to this awesome cast, the film is directed by Chloé Zhao, who directed the critically acclaimed film, Nomadland. Eternals is set to come out November 5th, 2021.

- Ironheart

Although there's no release date or showrunner as of now, Dominique Thorne is set to play Riri Williams/Ironheart. Riri's an engineering prodigy and is set to be Tony Stark's successor, I have fate that Marvel Studios can do justice to her comic book character. If that means more Iron suits, I'm game.

- She-Hulk

Bruce Banner brought everyone back in Avengers: Endgame by snapping his fingers with the Infinity Gauntlet, but it came at the cost of his arm's function, putting the Hulk into retirement. Jennifer Walters will in for the iconic green monster, unlike Bruce being a scientist, however, Jennifer is a lawyer and will be played by Tatiana Maslany. The Disney+ show will reportedly be unlike anything else in the MCU, and is a legal comedy. Mark Ruffalo will be back as Bruce Banner, while Tim Roth is back as Abomination. Does that mean a rematch between him and Hulk? She-Hulk will be released sometime in 2022.

- Moon Knight

Very little is known about Moon Knight, what is known however, is that this Disney+ show is "an Indiana Jones-style adventure". It will also be a focus on Egyptian mythology. Marc Spector finds himself near death after being betrayed by his employer, Raoul Bushman. As Marc is left for dead, he's approached by the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu, who offers him a second chance at life and gets supernatural abilities and becomes a crime fighter. Oscar Isaac will play Moon Knight, giving him a chance to further show off his acting prowess. Moon Knight is set to come out in 2022.

- Secret Invasion

If you're familiar with the Secret Invasion comic storyline or the alien race, Skrulls. Secret Invasion will definitely get you excited. You can expect to see major characters be infiltrated by Skrulls in this Disney+ show. It'll follow Nick Fury, as well as Talos, a skull who appeared in Captain Marvel and is played by Ben Mendelsohn. Kyle Bradstreet of Mr. Robot fame is reportedly involved, so you can expect this show to be something GREAT!

- Armor Wars

Don Cheadle is reprising his role as Colonel James Rhodes/War Machine and that Tony Stark's death will be a main factor in this upcoming show. It will see Rhodey keep Tony's tech from being weaponized from either Justin Hammer or another character entirely, rather than being the supporting character, Rhodey will take center stage. It will also have the opportunity to return the roots of the first Iron Man film.

- What If...?

Marvel's What If...? is an animated Disney+ show that will be coming sometime this year with multiple MCU characters having alternate stories. What if Peggy Carter became Captain America?, What if Doctor Strange turned evil?, What if T'Challa was Star-Lord etc., narrating the show will be The Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright. This MCU show is truly about to be a gem, and hearing Chadwick's voice is going to hit different.

- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The third Guardians of the Galaxy movie has had a rough production. James Gunn was fired by Disney due to old offensive tweets and fans and cast begged the mega corporation for his job and wouldn't budge. But when they couldn't find anyone else, they reinstated him, and Gunn worked on another comic book m movie, The Suicide Squad. This just makes the long-awaited sequel unbearable, sure, the Guardians did appear in Avengers: Infinity and Avengers: Endgame and are set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, but I have soo many questions! Is Gamora really dead? Where is 2014 Gamora and is Thor a new Guardian now? 2023 can't come soon enough.

- Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

The Mandarin Twist in Iron Man 3 remains a moment that I would rather forget. Marvel's first Asian-led movie has Tony Leung as the real Mandarin while Simu Liu is cast as Shang-Chi. The supporting cast includes Long Island's very own, Awkwafine and Michelle Yeoh. This is a Martial Arts movie that I am stoked to see! The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously made the critical indie darling, Short Term 12 starring Carol Danvers herself, Brie Larson. Shang-Chi is set to come out on July 9th, 2022.

- Black Panther II

On August 2020, Chadwick Boseman died from colon cancer and King T'Challa/Black Panther will go down as his most iconic role. Black Panther II will focus more on Wakanda's mythology, Boseman's memory and supporting characters. I'm curious how this film will handle Chad's legacy but director Ryan Coogler is determined to not only honor T'Challa but Boseman as well. T'Challa won't be recast nor will the sequel use a digital double. Black Panther II will focus more on T'Challa's sister Shuri, and she will most likely become the next Black Panther. Filming is set to start in July 2021, so let's see how it goes. Black Panther II is set to come out on July 8th, 2022.

- Untitled Wakanda Series

In addition to Black Panther II, this spin-off will also focus on the people of Wakanda and will likely be in the style of "Game of Thrones". No show runner or release date as of yet but Ryan Coogler is definitely involved somehow and it'll be a great opportunity to go deep into Wakandan lore.

- Black Widow

If there's one MCU movie that's even more anticipated, it's Black Widow. Delayed twice due to the pandemic, Scarlett Johansson is back as Natasha as she ties up lose ends and battles new enemies. I've waited for a solo Black Widow movie ever since she kicked ass in Iron Man 2. Will Black Widow be a swan song to this character or will it bring her back. Only time will tell.

- Thor: Love and Thunder

Y'all thought Thor wasn't finished? Well, Chris Hemsworth is back as the God of Thunder! And this time he's joined by The Guardians of the Galaxy, not only is Natalie Portman back as Jane Foster and will be worthy to hold Mjolnir but Taika Watiti is back as director and former Batman actor Christian Bale will play the main villain, Gorr the God Butcher. Just reading that name makes him evil. According to leaked set photos, it seems that Thor had gotten rid of his beer belly and rocking new wardrobe while Kraglin, played by Sean Gunn, wears Yondu's old Mohawk thing and I think that Thor and the Guardians are on a rock and roll planet and Thor challenges Gorr to a rock-off. This one will be incredible for sure! Thor: Love and Thunder is set to be released on May 6th, 2022.

- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

I have so many theories about this one. Remember in Spider-Man 2 when J Jonah name-dropped Stephen Strange? Well Sam Raimi is directing the sequel while Elizabeth Olsen will make an appearance and I think that she's the main antagonist because in WandaVision, she creates her own sitcom reality with Vision and will do whatever it takes to keep that reality forever. It might also open the doors for the characters from the OG Spider-Man movies to make an appearance. Hey, March 25th, 2022, can you get here faster, please?

- The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Coming out next month is The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which, like most of these projects, take place after Endgame. The Disney+ series sees Sam and Bucky, both successors to Captain America, return. While plot details are still unknown, Daniel Brühl is back as Helmut Zemo, also the show looks like such an AWESOME spy thriller and I. AM. HERE FOR IT!

- Fantastic Four

When Disney bought Fox 3 years ago, it was only a matter of time until Marvel's first family joined the MCU. While I'm waiting on the announcement of a new X-Men movie, a Fantastic Four movie has been confirmed and Jon Watts is signed on to direct, who previously did Spider-Man: Homecoming and its 2019 sequel. It shouldn't be hard to top those other Fantastic Four movies, right? And come on, you cowards! Please cast Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as Sue Storm and Reed Richards. That is literally all I ask. Release date has yet to be announced.

- Deadpool 3

Yes, believe it or not, Deadpool 3 is confirmed to be part of the MCU making Deadpool an MCU character! Not only that, but it'll have an R-rating. And, Ryan Reynolds is back as The Merc with the Mouth! Bob's Burgers writers, Wendy Molyneux and Rob Liefeld are currently writing the script, while a director has yet to be signed on. It probably won't be released until 2023.

- Untitled Spider-Man Sequel

The biggest moment from Far from Home was Quentin Beck name dropping Peter's identity in Times Square and I cheered when J.K. Simmons came back as J Jonah! Speculative rumors claim that the third Spider-Man film in the MCU will also be a Spider-Verse with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield return to their roles! This... is wayy too good to be true. Not only that, but Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx are back as Dr. Octopus and Electro! While it may not to live up the animated Spider-Verse film, Tom Holland even said in his recent Variety interview that it'll be "the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made." OOF. THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE INSANE.

- Loki

While I am REALLY excited for Spider-Man 3, it's Loki that I'm the most excited about. Come on, guys! Did you really think my boy was going to stay dead. During the events of Avengers: Endgame, 2012 Loki snatches the tesseract while in custody in an alternalte timeline, and is caught by a time travel agency known as the TVA. While there's not much I know about the show, from what I saw in that trailer, he'll definitely earn the title of God of Mischief. I can't wait until May!
