Most Anticipated Horror Movies of 2022 & 2023

Hello and Happy Hallow-weekend! Today, I am going to be talking about the horror movies that are coming in 2022 & 2023. Release dates are subject to change, so please comment below what your most anticipated horror movie is. 15. Renfield R.M. Renfield is a fictional character within the universe of Bram Stoker's Dracula, and he's getting his own movie. It was greenlit by Universal Pictures after hearing a pitch from Robert Kirkman and they apparently liked it. "Rocketman" director Dexter Fletcher was involved with the project as director until "Lego Batman Movie" and "The Tomorrow War" director, Chris McKay was attached in April 2021. The movie will have a spooky and comedic vibe quite like Taika Waititi's magnum opus, What We Do in the Shadows, in which Renfield realizes that he's in a bad co-dependent relationship, and he's being played by Nicholas Hoult, who is no stranger to comedy, having a role in The Favourite and playing Pet

Review: Dune

Image
Hello, Everybody. Today, I will be talking about the latest adaptation of Frank Herbert's legendary novel, Dune. After soo much anticipation and release date changes, Dune(2021) has finally hit theaters and on HBO Max. I just saw it in IMAX and I was soo incredibly impressed by the film itself.  Dune is about the story of Paul Atreidis, a young man born with a great destiny that is beyond his understanding, must travel to Arrakis, the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet's exclusive supply of the most precious supply in existence, the spice. Only those who can conquer fear will survive. Dune stars Timothy Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Stellan SkarsgĆ„rd, Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Babs Olusanmokun, and Javier Bardem, and directed by

Review: Halloween Kills

Image
Hello, Everybody! Here's my review of Halloween Kills! The sequel to 2018's Halloween, and is also a canonical sequel to Halloween(1978). It takes place right after Halloween 2018 where Michael Myers is thought to be burned alive in a house, but as always, Michael always comes back and the citizens of Haddonfield band together to take down Michael. Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Kyle Richards, Anthony Michael Hall, Dylan Arnold, Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens, Thomas Mann, Robert Longstreet, Omar Dorsey, Diva Tyler, Scott McArthur and Michael McDonald, and is directed by David Gordon Green and is written by Danny McBride.  If you were a fan of Halloween 2018 and to expect more Michael Myers killing people, you're in luck, because this is Michael Myers at his most brutalized point. The reason that the Halloween franchise is still adored today is because of the fan favorite serial murderer known as Michael Myers, a man

Review: No Time to Die

Image
Hello! Today I just saw the new and last movie of the Daniel Craig James Bond era, No Time to Die. In this movie, Bond is now face to face with greatest enemy yet, as he's now retired and working with the CIA and has to find a kidnapped scientist which turns dangerous, and is lead to a mysterious villain with dangerous technology.  No Time to Die stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux, Lashanna Lynch, Ana de Armas, Naomie Harris, Billy Magnussen, Jeffrey Wright and Ralph Fiennes. It's written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and directed by Cary Joji Fukanaga, same guy who did True Detective: Season 1, Beasts of No Nation and the Netflix miniseries, Maniac.  Let's get this out of the way, I never thought that this was going to come out and I thought that I wasn't going to see it anyway, and I'm glad that I did. This was even the first movie was affected by CO-VID.  Right off the bat, this was a very fun and thrilling spy-venture with an amazing opening sequence, which

Every episode of What If...?: Season 1 ranked

Hello, Everybody! The season finale of What If just dropped, which gives me the perfect time to officially rank all the episodes of Season 1. Consider this your spoiler warning if you haven't watched the show yet. What If is an animated anthology show where Uatu the Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright, is narrating our heroes stories told in the canonical Multiverse. 9. What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger? In the series premiere of What If, Peggy Carter, an Agent with the SSR, who later becomes SHIELD, receives the serum in place of Steve Rogers, with Peggy becoming Captain America, or Captain Carter. While the episode wasn't exactly bad, it just felt like a rehash of Captain America: The First Avenger with lines of dialogue from the previous movies being incorporated. In a way, these characters were forced to say these lines. However, that doesn't mean that I had fun watching this. And come on, how can you "fake" Steve's death and then have him r

Review: Venom: Let There Be Carnage

Image
Hi, Everybody! I just saw the sequel to 2018's Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage!  Now, let there be SPOILERAGE! Sorry, couldn't help myself.  So, Venom 2 kinda picks up where the first film left off, with Eddie Brock doing a story on famed serial killer, Cletus Kasady, played by Woody Harrelson. After their third visit, Cletus bites into Eddie and contracts the alien symbiote and becomes Carnage. Cletus/Carnage then breaks out his girlfriend from an insane asylum, while both Eddie and Venom have well... personal issues. Venom wants to bite people's heads off while Eddie wants to live a normal life. While the same Eddie/Venom comedic chemistry is still there, which I really love and don't mind, the same script problems from the first movie are prevalent. But, if you were to go into this movie to burn your brain off for an 1hr and a half and just go along for the ride, you'll definitely the sequel. Is it better than the first? Kind of. The scene that I loved was the

Review: The Guilty

Hello, Everybody! I am back with another movie review! The thing about being a college student, is that you have A LOT on your plate. I still need to look for a job, I have made a podcast, working on transferring to UAlbany and not to mention that I am part of the Transitions program, which is a place for Autism. Point being, is that not a lot of people have time to do what they love, and a lot of that can get sidetracked, but I can't promise that I'll make another blog post since that I do have a lot going on.  With that being said, here's my review of the Netflix film, The Guilty. "The Guilty" is a movie based on a movie from Denmark of the same name, and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, with voice appearances from Riley Keough, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano, Ethan Hawke, David CastaƱeda, Bill Burr, Christina Vidal, and Eli Goree, and is directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Nic Pizzolatto. For starters, The Guilty is an Americanized remake with most of the dialogue bei
