Review: Halloween Kills

Hello, Everybody! Here's my review of Halloween Kills! The sequel to 2018's Halloween, and is also a canonical sequel to Halloween(1978). It takes place right after Halloween 2018 where Michael Myers is thought to be burned alive in a house, but as always, Michael always comes back and the citizens of Haddonfield band together to take down Michael.

Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Kyle Richards, Anthony Michael Hall, Dylan Arnold, Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens, Thomas Mann, Robert Longstreet, Omar Dorsey, Diva Tyler, Scott McArthur and Michael McDonald, and is directed by David Gordon Green and is written by Danny McBride.

If you were a fan of Halloween 2018 and to expect more Michael Myers killing people, you're in luck, because this is Michael Myers at his most brutalized point. The reason that the Halloween franchise is still adored today is because of the fan favorite serial murderer known as Michael Myers, a man who killed his sister when he was only 6 years old. The kill count for Michael definitely went up for him! He has killed A LOT of people!

A lot of people are complaining that Laurie Strode didn't have much to do, and that's precisely the point. She was mortally wounded in the previous film and she's an elderly woman who needs to rest, and, yeah, not everyone likes bridge movies, but I thought that this was done right, it has set the stage for the next movie, Halloween Ends, and would be a much better viewing if you were to watch three of the movies altogether. The iconic score from John Carpenter is great, as always, and there were some new tunes in there, which was great.

One thing that the film mostly had were flashbacks to Halloween Night 1978, which looked like it was shot in '78, which impressed me a lot. The art direction was really good and I'm surprised that they pulled that off.

The fact that a crazy mob started in a hospital all because that they've been tired of Michael is WILD. They all really thought that they can stop Michael, and I don't they even knew that he's impossible to kill. You shoot him and stab him multiple times, he'll get back up. The movie also does not hold back on its brutality, as Michael kills 2 couples, one being a gay couple which became a highlight of the movie.

Halloween Kills isn't the exact sequel movie for everybody, but for fans of the Halloween franchise, you will likely enjoy the killing spree of Michael Myers

I'll give it a 7.9/10

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to comment below your thoughts!
