Review: To All the Boys: Always & Forever

Hey, there! To all of my fellow To All the Boys fans, here is my review of the third film of the To All the Boys trilogy,  To All the Boys: Always & Forever.

Lara Jean & Peter Kavinsky are now in their senior year and LJ has just returned from her trip to South Korea with her family, including the latest edition to the Covey family, Trina who will be LJ's father's new wife and Peter gets into Stanford while Lara Jean has to make the ultimate decision on whether or not to stay close with Petey at UC Berkeley or NYU, where they have this awesome English lit program, if I'm not mistaken.

To All the Boys: Always & Forever stars Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Janel Parrish, Anna Cathcart, Ross Butler, Madeleine Arthur, Emilija Baranac, Trezzo Mahoro, Sarayu Blue, John Corbett and Henry Thomas and is written by Katie Lovejoy from a Jenny Han's best-selling book series of the same name and directed by Michael Fimognari.

In terms of plot, there really isn't one but Lara Jean & Peter's romance is what keeps this movie going, you see them have a movie date, go on a senior trip, where Lara Jean changes her mind about going to UC Berkeley and go to Prom, whilst planning their future together. LJ also finds herself reevaluating what she wants to do post-high school, forcing Lara Jean and Peter to take stock of their relationship and whether they really want to try to make it work as they go off to college, or if they'll go their separate ways.

This allows Lovejoy's script to further develop Lara Jean's story as she grows up and has to make the decision of whether or not to go to a school close to Peter or far away from Peter. But, of course Lara Jean is still Lara Jean.😁 As Lana and Noah have proved from the first film, they've still got their iconic chemistry and Noah plays the charming boyfriend so perfectly and Lana still brings LJ to sweet heights and Corbett and Blue standout as the supporting adults while Cathcart and Parrish bring out their sister dynamic.

Ultimately, Always & Forever offers something new and fresh. The story and its ending is something very sweet and hopeful keeping long-time fans very satisfied. There's plenty of romance, drama and a great soundtrack. It's the perfect watch for Valentine's Day.

To All the Boys: Always & Forever offers a heart-meltingly sweet, warmly cheerful and charmingly hopeful romance that delivers much-needed breath of relief amidst this very cold winter.

Thanks for reading and Happy Valentine's Day and be sure to comment your thoughts below.
