Review: A Quiet Place: Part II

Greetings! We've waited and waited a little bit longer but the most anticipated sequel of the year is finally in theaters! A Quiet Place: Part II picks up right where its predecessor left off with the remaining members of the Abbott Family now leaving their farm to search for help. John Krasinski came back as director and appears in the opening act while Emily Blunt's Evelyn Abbott is the MC.

A Quiet Place: Part II stars Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Cillian Murphy, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds and Djimon Hounsou and is written and directed by John Krasinski.

Now, I wasn't really expecting much, I mean after all, neither was I when I first saw the first film, but it blew me out of the water! The opening sequence, Day 1, was a thrilling edge-of-your-seat moment that right away you know what's about to happen the town. Just like how the Part 1 begins with the Abbotts in a flashback and then cuts back to where Part 1 ended.

The monsters have become more deadly and seen, and packed with full of edge-your-seat moments that I won't spoil here. The editing mixes with the current scenes and its sound works so well!

You can have Cillian Murphy, a seasonal actor who has been in a few apocalypse films, have an ugly beard and still make him look good and Scoot McNairy was such an effecting villain, I need to see more of him and is a very under-appreciated actor.

Noah Jupe's still covering his ears and performing like a young actor should and Millicent... is still killing it. We need more roles for her, guys.

Alright, I'm going to give this a 9/10.

Thanks for reading and don't forget to comment below.
