Review: Hamilton

Review: Hamilton

Hello, Everybody! I'm Santiago Brion and today I'm reviewing Hamilton! A Disney+ exclusive. While we wait for the anticipated release of the "In the Heights" movie and for Broadway to open up again, this live-stage film will fill your Lin-Manuel Miranda & Broadway-shaped hole.

Filmed by RadicalMedia, it was originally going to be released on October 15th, 2021. However, due to the pandemic, Miranda announced that the live-stage screening will be released on Disney+ on July 3rd, in time for Fourth of July weekend. This was the perfect time to release it, despite the fact that our country really isn't great anymore.

I've finally seen Hamilton and I loved it! I'll definitely be listening to the soundtrack on the way to Vermont.

I really loved the performances of Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Christopher Jackson, Anthony Ramos and Jonathan Groff. I REALLY loved Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, SIR(IYKYK) and Jonathan Groff as King George III made me laugh(IDK why he just did).

Whether it's your first time or second time you've seen this phenomenal musical, you'll enjoy the fast-paced musical numbers including My Shot, The Story of Tonight, the Cabinet Battles(seriously the rap battles were amazing), The Schuyler Sisters, Satisfied and The Room Where It Happens and you can definitely appreciate the camera work/editing of this screening.

Now... can we get Dear Evan Hansen on Disney+, please?

I'll give this one a 10/10!

Ok, guys. Thanks for reading. Be sure to comment below and share your thoughts.
